What is a Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage can be useful for people who have particular muscle tension or chronic pain.

​

The first thing the massage therapist will do is a assessment on the treatment area to see what may be causing the pain.

​

They will perform some tests to see which muscles are responsible for the pain and plain a treatment to suit each individuals needs. 

​

The treatment may involve deeper tissue work in short periods in order to get results and aid the muscle repair.

 

Before any deep tissue work is done the therapist will communicate and ask for consent.

 

It can be beneficial for conditions such as sciatica, carpal tunnel, stiff necks, headaches, sports injuries and with many more complaints.

Finally some passive stretching and other after care advice to finish the session and allow the individual methods to help after the session.
